Program Goal
The program is aimed at engaging and empowering female students from Almaty colleges who are interested in building careers in information technology. The focus is on self-development: by gaining professional, technical, and soft skills, participants work on their self-esteem and confidence.
Target Group
The course is designed for beginner IT specialists — female college students in Almaty with little or no development experience who are genuinely interested in learning mobile development and modern AI tools. Each cohort includes approximately 30–40 participants split into two groups (morning and afternoon).
Program Structure & Curriculum
Duration: 9 months
Format: offline, hands-on classes at KIMEP University, up to 3 times per week
Language of instruction: Russian
The program consists of two parallel tracks:
Track 1 — Mobile Development (16 modules)
Part 1 — Flutter Fundamentals:
- Introduction & tool setup
- Dart in an hour
- Widgets
- State management (BLoC/Cubit)
- Navigation & GoRouter
- Networking, Dio, repositories
- Architecture (Clean Architecture)
- Firebase basics (Authentication, Firestore, push notifications)
Part 2 — AI-First Development:
9. Shifting the development paradigm
10. Spec-Driven Development
11. CLAUDE.md and agent memory
12. Skills — recipes
13. AI-first workflow
14. Tools: Claude Code, MCP
15. Pitfalls of AI-assisted development
16. Final project
Track 2 — Soft Skills (6 modules)
- Communication principles in IT (10 hours)
- Time management (4 hours)
- Working formats in IT (12 hours)
- Emotional intelligence & empathy (8 hours)
- Career orientation (8 hours)
- Public speaking & pitching (4 hours)
Tech Stack
Flutter, Dart, Firebase, Figma, AI agents (Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, etc.), Zoom (additional sessions), Telegram (communication).
Role of Mentors
Mentors provide individual support to participants, improving learning outcomes through personal engagement and assistance with projects.
Final Project
Each participant independently plans, builds with the help of an AI agent, and presents her own mobile application based on a personal specification.
Learning Outcomes
Upon completing the program, Kumbel LAB participants will:
- Master Flutter and Dart fundamentals and be able to independently write and run mobile applications;
- Understand core principles of app architecture (Clean Architecture, BLoC/Cubit);
- Work with network requests, local data storage, and Firebase;
- Use AI tools and agents for spec-driven development;
- Independently plan and present their own mobile project;
- Build productive team relationships, give and receive feedback;
- Apply time management and planning skills in project work;
- Develop emotional intelligence and mutual support within a team;
- Set career goals, overcome impostor syndrome, and confidently deliver a self-presentation.
