Aim of the Program

The program is designed to engage and empower young female learners from TVET institutions who are interested in building a career in the SMM field. The focus of the program is self-development where young female learners, through learning technical and professional, social, and psychological skills, can work on their self-esteem and self-confidence in general and within the SMM field. 

Target Group

The program is designed for female TVET students aged between 16 and 21 years old, specializing in the marketing, journalism, graphic design, and management area in Almaty. The intended participants should have a genuine passion for the field of Social Media Marketing (SMM), encompassing various aspects such as content creation, optimization of social media profiles, trends and targets, community management, and brand promotion. Additionally, participants must have a strong desire to build a rewarding career in the SMM field or simply seek to acquire essential skills and knowledge to boost their employability and success in the digital world.

Structure and Curriculum of the Program

Duration of the program: 9 months

Modules: 

  1. Introduction to Social Media Marketing and Digital Marketing (20 hrs)
  2. Content Creation and Curation Strategies (20 hrs)
  3. Utilizing Social Media Platforms (Instagram/Tik-Tok) as Marketing Tools (20 hrs)
  4. Brand Development and Management (30 hrs)
  5. Achieving Work-Life Balance in the SMM Industry (10 hrs)
  6. Self-esteem (10 hrs)
  7. Motivation and Responsibility (10 hrs)
  8. Goal-setting (8 hrs)
  9. Critical Thinking (8 hrs)
  10. Effective Communication (8 hrs)
  11. Teamwork (8 hrs)
  12. Emotional Intelligence (8 hrs) 

Role of the mentors: Mentors provide guidance, support, and valuable insights to help students navigate their educational journey and develop their careers. 

Final project: The final project aims to showcase their abilities, demonstrate their understanding of various aspects of Social Media Marketing, and provide a platform for networking with industry professionals. 

Program Learning Outcomes

  1. Gain a comprehensive understanding of the foundation of Social Media Marketing and its integration with broader marketing principles;
  2. Develop and apply the necessary skills and knowledge to create, plan, and manage compelling and ethical content for Social Media Marketing;
  3. Develop and apply the ability to use popular social media platforms as effective tools for Social Media Marketing. Develop and demonstrate skills to navigate and leverage these platforms strategically to promote brands, engage with audiences, and achieve marketing objectives successfully;
  4. Develop and demonstrate the skills to lead social media profiles professionally, strategically promote their brand or content, and cultivate a loyal and engaged community of followers. Develop and demonstrate the ability to effectively manage social media presence and create a positive impact in the digital landscape;
  5. Develop and demonstrate a strong personal brand that resonates with the target audience, effectively communicates value, and helps to stand out in their professional field. Develop and demonstrate the ability to establish a credible online presence and use the personal brand to achieve personal and professional goals;
  6. Develop and apply the knowledge and tools to proactively manage stress, maintain emotional well-being, and prevent burnout and addiction in the demanding SMM field. Develop and demonstrate the ability to prioritize, establish healthy boundaries, and build resilience to thrive in careers while preserving mental and emotional health;
  7. Develop and apply adaptability and problem-solving abilities to handle challenging situations, resolve conflicts, and make quick decisions in the SMM industry;
  8. Foster self-awareness and self-regulation through recognizing and managing personal traits – strengths, weaknesses, emotions, and desires;
  9. Build confidence in one’s abilities, ideas, and decision-making skills and overcome self-doubt and develop a positive self-image;
  10. Develop and apply teamwork, self-presentation, public speaking, and communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and customers in an SMM environment;
  11. Develop and apply a growth mindset and embrace continuous learning;
